Land Bank secures $1 million on behalf of YMCA of Youngstown

The Land Bank was pleased to land a $1 million-dollar grant to support exciting plans for the Downtown Youngstown YMCA.

The grant will help in the redevelopment of the Youngstown YMCA’s unrenovated upper floors and basement into transitional housing for youths aging out of foster care and a new youth development center. 

According to Mahoning County Land Bank Executive Director Deb Flora, Youngstown YMCA had been contemplating this project for a while, and the grant provided the perfect opportunity to pursue it.
