If you own vacant land or buildings that you no longer want, then consider donating them to the Mahoning County Land Bank.

To get started, review our general donation criteria and tell us about the property by completing a Donation Application. If you don’t know the property’s Permanent Parcel Number (PPN), then look for it on your property tax bill or use the Property Search function on the Mahoning County Auditor’s website.

A Land Bank inspector will visit the property to photograph and evaluate its condition and consider possibilities for reuse.

We do not accept all property offers, including those that have ownership issues, old mortgages, liens, delinquent taxes, or other assessments that cannot be resolved without legal action.

When we do accept offers, your responsibility to pay taxes and maintain the property will end upon transfer of ownership to the Land Bank.

To speak with someone about donating your property, call 330-259-1040 and choose Option 4.
