Land Bank Receives ‘Beautification Award’ from Youngstown CityScape

Leaders of Youngstown CityScape recently presented its community beautification award to the Land Bank at its 13th annual “Beautification Awards” ceremony and reception at the DeYor Performing Arts Center in downtown Youngstown.

The Land Bank received the award for its neighborhood association beautification projects, including the establishment of the Mahoning Avenue Bus Shelter.

The Land Bank partnered with Mill Creek MetroParks, Rocky Ridge Neighborhood Association, Garden District Neighborhood Association and Western Reserve Transit Authority to install a WRTA bus shelter in place of a blighted space.

They worked with Maciek Adamczak, landscape contractor and owner of Municipal Action Corporation, Ltd., to beautify the surrounding area.
